They started with the insulation--warm yet lightweight, 3M Thinsulate. Designed by scientists to be a kinder alternative to down, Thinsulate mimics the weight and warmth of traditional feathers, yet performs even better when wet. It has a resilient mini-ripstop exterior that is engineered to resist wear and tear, a water-resistant finish, and a funneled collar to protect your neck and ears in bitter cold.
